The MaCio Teague Foundation is dedicated to effectively utilizing community resources to enhance the well-being and cultivate opportunity for the youth. Our aim is to create a safe haven where we can provide a positive impact for the community.
After a successful college basketball career, including winning a National Championship, MaCio Teague began the first MaCio Teague Basketball Camp. After receiving feedback from the first camp, he realized that many kids want to come, but the parents simply cannot afford it. MaCio knows the impact that sports could have on kids, so he opted to launch the MaCio Teague Foundation to positively affect the community he grew up in.
MaCio Teague is a Professional Basketball Player, the youngest sibling of three and a son of supportive parents. He began his career in America and has since transitioned to Europe. MaCio Teague was born in Cincinnati. He attended three local schools in the Cincinnati area but ultimately graduated from The Walnut Hills High School in 2015.
MaCio spent his first two years of college at University of North Carolina Asheville. He earned First Team All-Conference in his Freshman and Sophomore year. MaCio then transferred to Baylor University where he earned 2nd Team All-Conference in his final two years as a collegiate basketball player. He also worked the Scott Drew Basketball Camp. The excitement and joy that the campers possessed inspired MaCio to begin his own camp when his career would end at Baylor. He graduated with a Degree in Health and Kinesiology but not before winning a National Championship in 2021. Since MaCio’s departure from Baylor, he has spent time in The NBA, and has spent his last two years playing professional basketball in some of the top leagues in Europe.
In 2023, the first MaCio Teague Basketball Camp began. This camp was established to provide children with a safe and supportive environment, where they not only receive training techniques but tips for success in school and everyday life. Since the first camp, there are plans to continue to inspire and impact the community by continuing to have safe havens for community involvement. MaCio believes the impact that he has on lives is far more important than any trophy or statistic that he could win individually in basketball.
